Eminent Journalist Mr Dilip Kumar Bisoi delivers Monday Morning Talk on Budget 2019

Keeping with the tradition of Monday Morning Talks in School of Mass Communication senior Business and political Journalist Mr Dilip Kumar Bisoi delivered a talk on Union interim Budget 2019 today.

Advising the budding journalists, Mr Bisoi asked the students to take interest in all subjects. ” A journalist should have interest in different subjects like Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Philosophy, Arts, Mathematics, English, History and especially Economics ,” he said.

Taking a leaf from Union minister Piyush Goyal’s reference to Uri movie during Budget, Mr Bisoi has also titled his presentation ” An analysis of Interim Budget 2019 with the subtitled “Uri se Mila Josh”. Keeping up with the josh Mr Bisoi took the students into an hour of power packed information and analysis of the recent Union Budget.
Sprinkled with informative tit-bits and explanation of the jargons like capital expenditure, difference between full Budget and interim Budget, significance of operating ratio Mr Bisoi took the students to a brief recap of the main vital points of the Union Interim Budget 2019.

He also delved into the political implications of this budget and touched upon the various schemes like PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Rashtraiya Gokul mission, MGNREGA, Income tax rebate among others.

He also told the students the various controversies surrounding the budget for example that this was the first budget in the history of India against which a case has been filed in the Supreme Court . This budget is not a interim budget but seems like a full fledged budget.
