Kamalakanta Roul teaches Political Science in the University of Delhi. Roul did his Ph.D on “Kandhamal Violence and the State” from the University of Delhi and had theorized it in a creative way as “collaborative-communal violence”. He was a Gold Medalist in M.A., Political Science at Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Kamalakanta’s areas of specialization are Indian Government and Politics and Political Theory. His research area includes poverty and violence studies, development theories, adivasi questions, and Gandhian political theory. Roul has co-authored a book titled “Indian Government and Politics” in 2012. Besides, he has an Odia poetry anthology titled ‘Ninaada’ published in 2016. Kamalakanta is a political commentator in daily English and Odia newspapers published from Bhubaneswar.
